If you are looking to replace original horizontal sliding windows our Duraslide 2000 aluminium windows are an ideal solution. They have slim sightlines, are strong and durable and have a thermal break.
As they are powder coated you can have any colour, including dual colour – inside and out. This horizontal aluminium sliding windows have high-security multi-point locking and the option of a dual or triple track, with 2, 3 or 4 pane windows and all panels can slide.

Think of these windows as mini patio doors, with heights from 500mm up to 1850mm.

Windows have 2 or 3 tracks depending on if it is a dual track or triple track system.
For dual track, one window slides behind the other. For triple track all 3 windows slide making it possible to have almost 2/3 opening
You will need to check with your local planning authority, but if you currently have existing horizontal sliders, then the answer is likely to be yes.
It depends on whether you are in a conservation area or not, You will need to check this with your local authority.
The openers can be much larger than with casement windows giving you more air flow. The sightlines are then more uniform.
We now specialise in installing windows without the need for scaffolding in blocks of flats. We have a safe methodology to do this, which has been approved by our safety consultant.
We recommend going out or being away while we are installing your new windows so that we can keep disruption to a minimum. We will make good any damage to plaster work up to decorating standard.
As our aluminium horizontal sliding windows are powder coated you can have them in any RAL colour, You can even have dual colour, that is different colour inside and out, if you wish!
